Disneyland is such a magical place full of even more magical opportunities that are only accessible after you buy your ticket! So make sure that you get those ahead of time to save some cash and headaches. We’ll talk about strategies for those in just a second; First, let's talk about the type of tickets because Disney has a ticket for every need and budget.
The first thing to remember is that California Adventure and Disneyland are two seperate parks, which means that they require two separate tickets. So that leaves you with two options for being tickets: You can buy individual tickets to each park for specific days or you can buy a park hopper ticket. With a park hopper ticket you can go between the two parks as much as you want to daily for each you have a ticket. Park hoppers are more than daily tickets to each park but park hopping does have its advantages. For example, if one park is really crowded you have the ability to “hop” to the less crowded park. The other benefit is being able to eat wherever you want or crave. The choice is yours, but we always choose park hoppers to have the flexibility. The other option for tickets to Disneyland are annual passes which are just that, passes that you use annually. Disney offers different tiers for their annual passes which have different blackout days and parks. One big advantage for annual passes is obviously that you can go as much as you want during the year, which is good if you are going for an extended period of time, live close, or want to visit multiple times a year. Another advantage is that annual pass holders can get discount at various shops and restaurants, which is pretty cool. So no matter how you decide to get your tickets, make a plan, and then go and enjoy!
